In Agra, the Vedic scholar Dashanan set out on a city tour with his family and generals on a chariot glittering with lights all around. Men and women trembled at his roar. With the band and drums, he proclaimed himself to be an emperor. There was a huge crowd at the venue to see this scene.
In the Ramlila Mahotsav, the procession of the King of Lanka began on Friday from Lala Channomal’s Baradari. Two camels were in the front, followed by the tableau of the demoness Taraka. Children got scared after seeing the fierce form of Taraka. The tableau of sages and munis being locked up in the prison showed the cruelty of Ravana. The sound of two cannons kept resonating during the procession. Behind this was the tableau of Kumbhakaran, who was seen showing off his strength. The band was playing melodious music in front of the tableau of Meghnath (Indrajit). At the end, Dashanan was seated on his huge chariot. The grandeur of the chariot was worth seeing. People got scared for a moment at its roar.
The procession started from Rawatpara Tiraha and passed through Johri Bazar, Subhash Bazar, Daresi, Chhatta Bazar, Kachhari Ghat, Belanganj, Pathwari, Dhuliyaganj, Phulatti Bazar, Kirani Bazar and ended at Rawatpara. During this, MLA Purushottam Khandelwal, Rajiv Agarwal, TN Agarwal, Girdhar Sharan, Ram Ashish, Manish Sharma, Ayush, Rahul etc. were present.
Narad Moh will be staged in Ramlila today
The staging of the Leela at Ramlila Maidan will begin from Saturday. Media spokesperson Rahul Gautam said that Narad Moh and Vishwamohini Leela will be staged on 21 September at 7 pm. It will be inaugurated by Padmashree Dr. RS Pareek.
