There will be neither sale of single use plastic nor arrival of goods in Agra. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of traders with the Municipal Corporation. In the meeting, Additional Municipal Commissioner gave a presentation to the traders and told them which plastic is banned and which can be sold.

Traders from organizations including Agra Vyapar Mandal, Agra Mandal Vyapar Sangathan, Federation told Additional Municipal Commissioner Surendra Prasad Yadav that he is neither a seller nor a producer of single-use plastic. Take action against those who are selling. Trade Board President TN Aggarwal said that multinational companies provide goods in cloth bags in malls, but oil, milk etc. come in plastic pouches. These should also be banned.

Jai Pursanani said that the Municipal Corporation officials going for the campaign should be aware of the 18 items that are banned so far. They only take action against single use plastic. Trader Kamal Mangwani showed a bag made of starch, in which goods can be given. It dissolves in water. Plastic Association President Ashok Mangwani informed about the repeated use of carry bags of 120 microns or above. The trade body told the traders that whoever uses single use plastic will be responsible for fine or other action.

Environmental engineers Pankaj Bhushan, Kanhaiya Lal Rathod, Sumit Patel, Pankaj Aggarwal, Rajiv Gupta, Gaurav Gupta, Navdeep Aggarwal etc. were present in the meeting.
