The Ministry of Commerce has revealed the figures of agriculture and processed food exports. According to the data, exports have increased by 13 percent to $ 19.69 billion in the April-December period of the current financial year. At the same time, Agriculture and Processed Food Production Export Development Authority (APEDA) comes under the Ministry of Commerce. APEDA is responsible for setting export targets. APEDA has set a target of $23.6 billion for agriculture and processed food for 2022-23.

Export of rice, wheat here
The figures of export of wheat and rice have also been revealed by the central government. Basmati rice exports grew by 40.26 per cent to $3.33 billion during the April-December period. At the same time, the export of non-basmati rice also increased by 3.35 percent and became $ 4.66 billion. An increase has also been registered in wheat exports. Wheat exports have increased by 4 percent from $ 145.2 million in April-December 2021 to $ 150.8 million in April-December 2022 in the nine-month period of the current financial year. At the same time, there has been a decrease in the export of dairy, meat and poultry products. It has come down to 0.68 percent. The export of these products was about three billion dollars.

So much sugar was exported to countries
India is a big country in terms of sugar production. India is also meeting the consumption of sugar in many countries. According to media reports, the figures of All India Sugar Trade Association have come out. According to him, in the current marketing year 2022-23 till February 9, 27.83 lakh tonnes of sugar has been exported from the country. India exports the most to Bangladesh and Indonesia. Apart from this, sugar is exported to Djibouti, Somalia, United Arab Emirates. Businessmen get good income by exporting sugar. There is a difference in the income of the farmers as well.
