Apart from this, if a student leaves studies after the first year of graduation, he will be able to get an undergraduate certificate after 10 weeks of internship, while if he leaves studies after the second year, he will get a UG diploma.

New employment opportunities

Dr. RC Aggarwal, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Education) said that we want agricultural education to not be based only on traditional methods, but students should also be connected to entrepreneurship and new employment opportunities. For this, the communication skills of the students will be improved and they will also be trained in the field of innovation and technology.

Study of modern subjects is essential

To compete at the international level, students in agricultural universities will now prepare their own projects and they will also be provided the necessary help from ICAR. Along with this, it will also be mandatory for the students to study modern subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Machine Learning in various fields of agriculture.

These new changes will prove to be an important step in the field of agricultural education and will prepare young farmers to face the challenges of the new era. These initiatives will be implemented from this session as soon as they get approval from the Agriculture Ministry, which promises to give a new direction to agricultural education.
