Agriculture Department these schemes are very beneficial for the farmers PMFBY PMKSY


We all know that a large part of India’s population is dependent on agriculture. The government provides benefits of agricultural schemes to farmers to help them from sowing to selling the produce. Prime Minister’s Agricultural Irrigation Scheme

The Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana focuses on expanding irrigation in the agricultural area and reducing wastage of water. The objective of this scheme is to motivate farmers to adopt techniques for efficient use of water. To overcome the water shortage, the government is working on the drip irrigation model. Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme

To mitigate crop damage due to climate change, the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana provides crop insurance to farmers. Farmers can enroll in the scheme at low interest rates, and the government makes additional contributions. In case of damage caused by natural disasters, the insurance company investigates within 72 hours and the farmer gets the loan.

PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana

For the old age of farmers, the central government has started the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana. Farmers aged 18 to 40 years can apply for this. After this, a contribution of Rs 55 to Rs 200 will have to be made every month. Then when the farmer reaches the age of 60 years, the government gives a pension of Rs 3,000 per month i.e. Rs 36,000 annually.

National Horticulture Mission

The government is encouraging farmers to cultivate horticultural crops to prevent the loss of traditional crops due to uncertainty of weather. Under the National Horticulture Mission, farmers are given financial assistance, subsidy, loan and training.
