This matter is still surrounded in controversies, but Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Kailash Chaudhary has answered all these questions in the Rajya Sabha.

Why 6 crore farmers have decreased
Opposition MPs asked many questions regarding PM Kisan Yojana in Rajya Sabha. There was also a question as to why the number of farmers who got PM Kisan’s Samman Nidhi has decreased by 6 crores. Answering this question, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Chaudhary told that some farmers were income tax payers and were employed in good positions, while PM Kisan’s money is given to weaker section farmers as financial help.

The fund of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is not for the rich people, so we removed them from the scheme and the number of farmers also decreased. The Minister of State for Agriculture said that an amount of Rs 2.24 lakh crore has been sent directly to the accounts of 11.5 crore farmers as Kisan Samman Nidhi.

The objective of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is to provide economic empowerment to the agricultural farmers of small and weaker sections, so that they can meet their agricultural or personal expenses in time. Many times there are some agricultural or personal expenses related to agriculture, for which it becomes difficult to raise money, so the government transfers Rs 2,000 directly to the bank account every quarter.

The benefit of this scheme is given only to the farmers having 2 hectares or less land. In this matter, in a written reply, Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Chaudhary told that the central government is fully committed for the welfare of the farmers and all the schemes are being run continuously for the welfare of the farmers.

The amount of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is also sent directly to the bank account of the farmers through DBT. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial help to the farmer families having agricultural land, so that they can meet their expenses and needs.

In this way the cost of farming will be reduced
According to media reports, in response to a question, Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Chaudhary also told that the current government has increased its agriculture budget this year to 1 lakh 32 thousand crores, while this agriculture budget was 23 thousand crores till the year 2013. .

Out of this budget, more than half i.e. Rs 65,000 crore has been sent directly to the bank accounts of 11.5 crore farmers through DBT. Apart from this, the government has planned to form 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations in the country to ensure that farmers get the right price for their produce.

Technical training will also be given to the farmers who join this scheme, so that apart from reducing the cost of farming, they can also be linked to agriculture business.
