AI Misuse in India: What do you think? AI a boon or a curse? If this topic is debated then probably the debate will not end. Some people will count the advantages of AI and some disadvantages. Till now AI was being used in a picture to make the boy look like a girl, to make him old and to make the picture laugh. People were seeing these pictures as entertainment and increasing technology, but if the picture of a serious issue is changed with the help of AI, then the time becomes serious. In the past, many experts were claiming that AI can be used to spread false and fake news. Now this claim seems to be proving true.
Fake pictures of wrestlers created with the help of AI
Delhi Police on Sunday detained Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, Sangeeta Phogat and Bajrang Punia for forcibly ending the wrestlers’ protest at Jantar Mantar. Soon after their detention, a photo of wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Sangeeta Phogat posing in a police vehicle with fake smiles surfaced on Twitter. The photo was created with the help of AI. This picture immediately went viral. We are showing you both the pictures here. See for yourself how a serious photo was converted into a smiling photo with the help of technology.

People accepted the picture as true and started cursing the wrestlers. However, after fact checking, when it was found that the photo is fake, several verified accounts tweeted showing both the photos side by side. Famous YouTuber Dhruv Rathi also tweeted.
