AI Voice Scam Case: A shocking incident has come to light from Lucknow, UP. Here a person was duped of Rs 40,000 by changing his voice using Artificial Intelligence (AI). The fraudsters called the person in his father’s voice and carried out this incident. On the complaint of the person, the police has now started an investigation.
Actually, Shailendra, who lives in Madiavan police station area of Lucknow, received a call from an unknown number in his father’s voice. The caller said that he was his father and his phone was switched off. Then the dialer told about some emergency and asked him to deposit the money in the account. Shailendra told that the unknown person’s voice was exactly like his father’s. Then he said that there is an emergency, deposit 40 thousand rupees in the bank account. Since Shailendra found the dialer’s voice like his father, he did not doubt it and deposited the money in the account.
When I came home I was shocked
When Shailendra came home, he mentioned this to his father. Then his father said that he did not make any call in this regard. After this, the man complained about it to the police. On going to the bank and enquiring, it was found that the money had gone into the account of a Zarina from Haryana. The police have started investigating the matter.
