This incident happened on 5th June when a Boeing 777 jet took off from Toronto. After the fire broke out, a video was also made by the ground staff in which fire can be seen coming out of one of the engines of the plane. The fire broke out in the plane when it started climbing higher. The good thing in the midst of all this was that the plane was landed safely at the airport. There is no report of anyone being injured in this accident.
Flames were coming out from the engine area
On this incident, Air Canada said that the video of the incident shows that the fire broke out in the lower part of the engine i.e. in the fuel compartment. Due to technical reasons, air was not able to reach the fuel compartment. This is the reason why flames were visible near the engine in the video. They said that this fire did not break out in the engine at all.
Passengers sent by another flight
He also told that after this incident, the flight crew was immediately informed about the fault, they handled the situation and the plane was successfully landed back at the airport. After this, the plane was inspected. The passengers were sent by another flight. The plane which had a fault was removed from service with immediate effect.
