Why did Aishwarya reject ‘Happy New Year’?
In an old interview with NDTV, Aishwarya talked about her decision to leave the film. The actress said, “Yes, I was offered the film, and it was a very fun journey,” Aishwarya clarified, “I knew we would have a lot of fun doing it and it would be a fun experience.
But this film does not work for both Abhishek and me because we are not paired with each other. Deepika Padukone paired in heist comedy Shahrukh Khan I was with Abhishek Bachchan, whereas there was no romantic pairing opposite him. So it would have been really weird if I was paired with someone else in the film while Abhishek was in the film. That is why I said no to this film.”
There are rumours of Aishwarya and Abhishek’s divorce
