Ajmer Sharif Dargah: Gauhar Chishti, the main accused in the case of giving provocative speech at the gate of Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan, was presented in the court. The investigating officer presented his charge sheet against Gauhar Chishti for raising the slogan ‘Sar tan se juda’. On the basis of the charge sheet, charges were framed against Gauhar Chishti in the court. Gauhar Chishti is accused of inciting the crowd by raising provocative slogans at the Nizam Gate of the Dargah.
On June 17, 2022, slogans of ‘Gustakh e Rasool ki ek punishment, Sar tan se juda’ were raised outside the gate of the Dargah of Ajmer city. A few days after this sloganeering, tailor Kanhaiyalal was killed by slitting his throat with a knife in Udaipur. The killers had also made a video in which the same slogan was repeated.

In this case Khadim Gauhar Chishti of Dargah was made the main accused. The police had arrested the accused from Hyderabad and started investigation. Police had presented a charge sheet against the accused on the basis of investigation, on which the hearing was completed on Friday. Gauhar was presented in the court on Saturday on the orders of the court, where the charges were pronounced against her in her presence.
Apart from Gauhar Chishti, charges have also been framed against 4 other accused Khadim Fakhar Jamali, Tajim Siddiqui, Moin and Riyaz Hasan in this case. Gauhar has been made the main accused. Charges have been framed against him under section 302/115. This mob is accused of inciting the murder.
What was the matter?
A procession was taken out near Ajmer Sharif to protest against Nupur Sharma’s controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad. Permission was taken from the administration for a silent procession, but loudspeakers were installed at the Nizam Gate of Ajmer Sharif Dargah, on which Khadims gave provocative speeches. According to the police report, during this time there was a crowd of about 5 thousand people. While registering the report in this case, the police had made Gauhar Chishti the main accused. Later he was caught from Hyderabad.
