Before the Maha Kumbh, the tussle over the post of Secretary of Panchayati Udasin Akhara (Nirvana) intensified on Friday. Allegations and counter-allegations started after a proposal was brought in the Mahakumbh to boycott the saints who were relieved from three posts including that of Secretary for selling the land of Udasin Akhara in Haridwar. These saints are accused of selling Akhara land worth crores of rupees. On the proposal of Panch Parmeshwar of Udasin Akhara, a proposal to boycott these three saints in Mahakumbh was passed.

In the letter of Udasin Akhara addressed to Council President Mahant Ravindra Puri and General Secretary Mahant Hari Giri, it has been said that Mahant Raghumuni, Mahant Agradas and Mahant Damodar Das have been expelled for selling the land of the Akhara.
