- According to Bhavishya Purana Brahma Parva Chapter Number 21, the Gods have called Tritiya of Vaishakh month as Akshaya Tritiya. By donating food, clothing, gold, water etc. on this day, one gets eternal results. Due to this specialty, the name of this Tritiya is Akshaya Tritiya.
- Whatever is donated on this Tritiya day becomes inexhaustible and the person giving the donation attains Suryalok. One who fasts on this date becomes blessed with wealth and prosperity.
- According to Skanda Purana Vaishakh Mahatmya Chapter Number 24, those people who take bath in the morning at sunrise on Akshaya Tritiya and worship Lord Vishnu and listen to the story, are eligible for salvation.
- Those who donate on this day for the happiness of Shrimadhusudan, their good deeds give inexhaustible results by the permission of God.
- On the holy days of Vaishakh month, the person who worships Lord Vishnu with these five liquids – milk, curd, sugar, ghee and pure honey on Trayodashi Tithi for the pleasure of Lord Vishnu and who bathes Shri Hari with Panchamrit devotionally, he attains complete salvation. After saving the family, he gets established in the world of Lord Vishnu.
Be it Skanda Purana, Padma Purana, Matsya Purana or Bhavishya Purana, the day of Akshaya Tritiya has been described as auspicious in all the scriptures. According to folk traditions, on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, people buy new vehicles, planets enter, buy new things like gold and silver, because today is considered very auspicious.
Therefore, people believe that the new things they buy on this day will be auspicious and auspicious for them and their families.
