The process of migration of people from Baniapara, a highly sensitive locality of Aligarh city, is continuing, the main reason behind this is the unsafe environment. It is said that there are about two hundred and fifty families in the locality, out of which about a dozen families have left the locality, whose houses are locked.

During the communal riots, the tension was so high that the police had to deliver food items to the locality. In Baniapada Mohalla, there were mainly families of Vaishya community, some families belonged to Brahmin and other communities. There was not a single Muslim family in the locality.

Baniyapara has been affected in almost all the riots that have taken place in Aligarh so far. In such a situation, many families sold their houses and fled from here. In the last few years, Muslim families have settled in the locality. Mohalla resident Mohan Lal said that due to faith, people from far and wide come here to visit Banke Bihari. Due to the presence of temples all around the locality, it is called Vrindavan of Aligarh. In the last few years, Hindu families have left the locality and settled in other areas of the city, while many Muslim families have settled in Baniyapada.
