In the toilet of the under-construction building of Aligarh railway station late on Thursday night, an elderly man was stabbed to death by his son for the sake of getting his girlfriend. After killing the father, he wanted to implicate the girlfriend’s husband and his family members in a false case by holding them responsible for the murder. Before committing the murder, he himself drank alcohol and gave it to his father. After getting drunk, he stabbed them to death.
SP GRP Agra Mohd. Mushtaq told that 60-year-old Mahendra Pratap Yadav, a resident of Etah village Purahar (Aliganj), used to do hard labor in the village itself. Mahendra’s elder son Anurag alias Johnny used to work as a laborer in Panipat (Haryana). Meanwhile, he had a love affair with Sonam, the married wife of the landlord and mother of three children. Sonam was a resident of Bihar. One day three years ago, he took her and ran away to the village. Anurag stayed with her like a husband for about one and a half months. Then suddenly Sonam went away asking the children to meet her in Bihar. When he reached Bihar to pick her up, she refused to come. A few days later he came to know that Sonam had again gone to Panipat to be with her first husband. He could not feel without Sonam.
On this he started living in Sonam’s neighborhood. Meanwhile there was a quarrel and when the panchayat took place, he called his father Mahendra Pratap Yadav. Even after much persuasion, Sonam refused to leave her husband’s side. When things did not work out, the father explained to him and was taking him back to the village. Anurag told during interrogation that he was very angry with Sonam’s husband and his maternal side, because of them Sonam had gone away from him. On this he made a plan to teach them a lesson. While coming from Panipat, taking a dreadful step, he prepared a plan to trap Sonam’s husband and family members by killing her father.
For this he bought a knife, rat poison and a bottle of liquor from Panipat. On coming to Aligarh station, on the pretext, he gave rat medicine to his father after mixing it in alcohol. When he got drunk, he stabbed him with a knife brought with him and took him to the toilet on the pretext of killing him. Then telling a fabricated story, first on 112 number, then informed the mother on the phone and after reaching the GRP police station informed about the father’s murder. He was sure that the police would believe his statement and would arrest Sonam’s husband and family members and send them to jail.
