Anjali Sharma/Kannauj.Everyone’s mouth waters on hearing the name of Bundi. You too must have eaten a lot of laddus, but the taste of Kanojia Bundi laddus is different. The taste of this laddu is such that once you taste this laddu, the taste of other sweets will seem dull to you. This boondi laddu made from dry fruits is made in a completely different and special way which proves to be tasty as well as healthy.
The owner of Ram Shankar Suraj Sweets told that our shop is located in the big market of Kannauj. People come here from far and wide to buy many varieties of laddus. The owner of the shop says that two varieties of Bundi laddus are made here, we make our own Bundi. Desi ghee is used extensively in both the laddus. Besides, Kannauj perfume is also used.
Complete method of making laddu
The aroma of perfume can also be felt in the laddus of Kanojia Bundi. To make it, rose water, kewra and saffron perfume are used. In which pure desi ghee is used first. Bundi is made by extracting plain gram flour in ghee. Then syrup is prepared. Two types of boondi laddus are made, one is simple and the other is boondi laddu with dry fruits. Special Bundi laddu is made by mixing various types of dry fruits like cashews, pistachios and almonds. In making this laddu, rose water is used instead of water and the size of the special laddu is bigger than the normal laddu which is made on order.
what is the rate
The price of ordinary desi ghee boondi laddus is ₹ 300 per kg, while the price of special mawa boondi laddus is ₹ 500 per kg. People from far and wide get these special laddus made on order. Kannauj oil is used in both the laddus. Whereas water is not used while making laddus. In this, rose water is applied on hands and it is given a round shape.
