He has condemned the judge’s remarks as wrong. The Union Minister has appealed to the Supreme Court to pay attention to the matter. He said that such decision will send a wrong message in the society.

High Court Justice Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra had ruled in a rape case, saying, β€œBreaking the breast of the woman and breaking the nade of her pajamas will not be considered a crime under the attempt to rape.”

Apart from the Union Minister, other women leaders also demanded intervention from the Supreme Court regarding this. Talking to NDTV, TMC MP June Malia said, β€œIt is a very disgusting thing that women are being completely ignored in the country, which we have to end.”

Former Chairman of Delhi Women’s Commission and AAP MP Swati Maliwal told NDTV, β€˜This is very unfortunate. I am very shocked by the comments made in the judgment. This is a very embarrassing situation. Why does the act done by those people not come under the purview of rape? I do not understand the logic behind this decision. The Supreme Court should intervene in it.

What is the whole matter?

This incident is in Patiali area of ​​Kasganj district of UP on 10 November 2021. A woman had lodged a complaint that she was going somewhere with her 14 -year -old daughter. On the way, three youths named Pawan, Akash and Ashok sat on their bike on the pretext of leaving his daughter home. The FIR said that the accused stopped the car near a culvert on the way and caught the breast of his daughter and broke the pulse of pajamas. After this, with the wrong intention, he started pulling it under the culvert. People came there after the daughter screamed, after which the accused left her and ran away. A case was registered against the accused in this case for Section 376 of IPC and Section 18 of Poxo Act. The district court issued summons against the accused in these sections, against which the accused had filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court.
