Ingredients to make Potato Jhol
Potato – 4
Tomato – 2
Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Black salt – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Curd – 1 tbsp
Green coriander – 2 tbsp
Oil – 2-3 tbsp
salt – as per taste

Potato Jhol Recipe
To make Aloo Jhol without onion and garlic, first boil the potatoes. After this, peel off the potato and cut it into big pieces. Now finely chop the tomato and coriander leaves too. Pour oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the oil becomes hot, add asafoetida to it and then add tomatoes and fry it for some time. After this, add salt to the tomatoes as per taste.

Tomatoes have to be cooked till they become soft. After this, add garam masala, red chili powder, black salt and turmeric to the tomatoes and mix them well with the help of a ladle. After this, mix curd in it and fry for 1-2 more minutes. Then add chopped potatoes to the mixture and mix well. After roasting the vegetable for 1 minute, add water as needed.

Now cover the pan to cook potato jhol and cook till the vegetable comes to a boil. Keep stirring the jhol in between with the help of a ladle. After cooking the jhol on low flame for 5 minutes, turn off the gas. After this put coriander leaves in the bag and serve it hot with roti, paratha.
