In the sixth session of the Amar Ujala Samvad organized in Lucknow, the ministers of the UP government included Women Welfare and Child Development Minister Babyrani Maurya, Minister of State for Secondary Education (Independent Charge) Gulab Devi, Minister of State for Higher Education Rajni Tiwari, Minister of State for Women Welfare and Child Development Pratibha Shukla and Minister of State for Rural Development Lakshmi Gautam shared her experiences.
On women coming into politics, UP government minister Baby Rani Maurya said that women should participate in politics. It is challenging but my mother-in-law and father-in-law have always helped. Said that we should dream big. Women can make politics better. He said that women have great importance in BJP. If you do your work with full hard work and honesty, you definitely get results. Baby Rani said that we are winning the Rajya Sabha elections.
Minister of State for Rural Development Lakshmi Gautam said that there is difficulty in doing politics but she kept moving forward with caution. Now the entire government is working for women empowerment. There are difficulties in society for boys as well as girls.
State Higher Education Minister Rajni Tiwari said that to be successful in politics, there should be a goal and passion. He said that he won the election every time and showed his success. This is why the elections of 2012, 2017 and 2022 were won.
Minister of State for Women Welfare and Child Development Pratibha Shukla said that even though the bodies are different, the soul of both men and women is one. Politics is a good place for women. If you want to help someone then this is a very good field. Questioning the character of women on their success is a lack of values.
Minister of State for Secondary Education (Independent Charge) Gulab Devi said that my parents taught me a lot. I decided in my mind that I would work so hard that my parents never feel the loss of their son. After studying, she became a school principal and then entered politics. He said that a person should work with a goal in mind. When a person’s emotions are strong, the lack of resources is left behind. He announced to the women not to waste time in matching. Take time to adjust to yourself.
He told the daughters not to worry about who is saying what. He said that God does not show mercy but judges. In our country, Navratri happens twice a year, yet atrocities on daughters are the highest. On this Baby Rani said that when we were young we had not even heard the word female foeticide. Atrocities happen because we are forgetting our values and traditions. Let us neither deceive our parents nor ourselves. He said that parents should take care that children use mobile phones wisely. Rajni Tiwari said that mobile and technology are the medium for us. We should use it properly.
Pratibha Shukla told that there should be no pretense in life. On the difference between the words and actions of the society, he said that we should do one good work every day. Said that our values are disappearing here. He said that a life of artificiality cannot bring peace.
Gulab Devi said that today restrictions on women are reducing. Earlier, parents had control over girls. After marriage, the husband used to have control and when they get old, the son used to have control. They do not get a chance to develop their personality but now awareness has come.
What will be the status of women in politics in the next 25 years? On this, Baby Rani Maurya said that the level of education is increasing in the society. There has been awareness among women also and now reservation is also being given in politics.
Rajni Tiwari said that she is thankful to Amar Ujala for organizing the dialogue for women. She said that women should not wait for someone to take them forward. They should try themselves.
