Such unique fruits are found in the mango orchard of teacher Sanjit Thakur, resident of Nandani village of Mohiuddin Nagar block of Samastipur district. Taking the help of grafting technique using scientific method, Sanjeet has cultivated a unique mango plant in his garden. 15 different varieties of mangoes have grown on this tree. It has many varieties of India’s famous mangoes.

The varieties, names and taste of mangoes grown on these trees using scientific techniques are also different. Not just one or two, but a total of 15 different types of mangoes have borne fruit on these trees, which are 7-8 feet tall. This has become a topic of discussion in the entire Samastipur district. He is the first environmental activist for Patori sub-division area, who has grown 15 different varieties of mangoes on a single tree. Let us tell you that this method is called grafting technique in farming.

This is how this idea came to me
Teacher Sanjeet Thakur said during the conversation that I have been doing something or the other in the field of environment since childhood. During this time, a thought suddenly came to our mind that we should also grow many different varieties of mangoes on one tree through grafting. Since then, I am now growing 15 different varieties of mangoes from the same tree. People keep coming from far and wide to see this feat of ours. He said that every year he grafts 50-75 trees and distributes them among the nearby people.

A total of 15 different varieties of mangoes are available including Jardalu, Dussehri, Amrapali, Bambaiya, Jarda, Paharpur Sindhari, Maldah, Mallika, Thai Mango, Gulab Khas, Banarasi Gola, Ambika. Let us tell you that the mangoes they have here all have different fruits and also different leaves.
