For a long time, news is coming out that Netflix is going to ban password sharing. The company has also done this in some areas. The company has also introduced an ad supported plan, so that people can take their subscription even though it is cheap. Earlier this week, Netflix announced that it was expanding its crackdown on password sharing in some countries, including the UK and US.
Amazon made fun of Netflix
Netflix is planning to increase its revenue by banning password sharing, but this move is also giving other streaming companies an opportunity to attack Netflix. Recently, Amazon Prime Video UK took a dig at Netflix’s password crackdown policy and reshared an old tweet from the company. Amazon Prime Video UK reshared Netflix’s 2017 tweet. In a 2017 tweet, Netflix wrote, “Love is in sharing passwords”.
While sharing the old tweet of Netflix, Amazon has also shared a photo. This photo looks similar to Netflix’s Who’s Watching page. 6 profiles are visible in the picture. Below the profile is written in English, “Everyone who has our password.”

Sending mail to Netflix users
Meanwhile, Netflix has sent emails about account sharing to customers in 103 countries and territories, including the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Australia, Singapore, Mexico and Brazil. The email states that a Netflix account should only be used in one household. If users want to do account sharing, they can do so by paying extra money. Netflix is charging $8 (Rs 661) per month in the United States for password sharing.
