America Kentucky Sheriff Murder Judge Inside Courtroom In Us Arrested By State Police


US Judge Murder: A shocking incident has come to light in Kentucky, America. A police officer shot a judge dead inside the court room. In this case, the police have arrested a sheriff i.e. a police inspector of Kentucky. At the same time, the district judge has been declared dead at the scene.

According to a report by English news website CNN, Kentucky police said that District Judge Kevin Mullins (54) was shot several times, due to which he died on the spot. Police said that initial investigation revealed that Letcher County Sheriff i.e. Police Inspector Shawn M. Stines shot and killed Kevin Mullins after an argument in the judge’s chamber. Kentucky police said that a case of prima facie murder has been registered against Police Inspector Shawn M. Stines.

The sheriff surrendered after being shot

Kentucky State Police Trooper Matt Gehrt said during a press conference Thursday (September 19) evening that the shooting took place at the Letcher County Court in Whitesburg, Kentucky. Although there were other people in the courtroom at the time, no one was inside the judge’s chamber and no injuries were reported. Currently, Stines surrendered himself after the shooting and was arrested on the spot without incident.

The sheriff is helping the police in the investigation

Police officer Trooper Matt Gehart said that the city is shocked by this incident. He said that we are all shaken by this incident. Trooper Matt Gehart further said that at present, Sheriff Shawn M. Stines is cooperating with the police officers in the investigation. However, it is not clear who will take over the post of the county’s sheriff i.e. the police station in-charge after his arrest.

Work in the court stopped after the firing incident

Meanwhile, Kentucky court officials said on Thursday (September 19) that following the shooting incident, circuit and district courts, as well as the circuit court clerk’s office, will remain closed until work resumes.
