During the Waves Podcast, Bollywood actor Tinu Anand shared an anecdote from the film ‘Kalia’. Where Amitabh Bachchan was reprimanded by his father, writer Inder Raj. Tinu Anand said- ‘Actually my father had written the dialogue for a party scene related to the film. Amitabh Bachchan was playing the role of Kalia in the film. He had to say, ‘What is the fun in the troubles of funeral, when death does not come in youth, what is the pleasure in attending the funeral, when there is no mourning in every work’. This dialogue was written by my father, he had good command of Urdu. But Amitabh Bachchan had to struggle a lot in speaking this dialogue. Amitabh told his father, ‘Uncle, I can’t do this’. After this my father reprimanded Amit in a set filled with 200 people. My father said, ‘Shame on you, you are Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s son and what you are saying is not your language.
Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s son will not run away
Tinu Anand further said – ‘After being scolded by his father, Amitabh Bachchan said give me 10 minutes and left from there. Seeing Amit leaving, I felt that I had lost my actor. Then my father said that he is the son of Harivansh Rai Bachchan and will not run away. After this, Amitabh rehearsed the lines written by my father and after seeing Amitabh’s acting in the final shot, my father himself clapped. ,
