Amrut Udyan is spread across a sprawling expanse of 15 acres in Rashtrapati Bhavan, the office and residence of the President of India. Originally it comprised the East Lawn, Central Lawn, Long Garden and Circular Garden. More gardens were developed during the tenure of former Presidents Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Ram Nath Kovind, namely Herbal-I, Herbal-II, Tactile Garden, Bonsai Garden and Arogya Vanam.

The statement said that President Draupadi Murmu will attend the inauguration of Amrit Udyan Summer Annual Edition, 2024 on August 14. Amrit Udyan will be open to the public from August 16 to September 15, 2024 from 10 am to 6 pm (last entry 5.15 pm). For the first time, August 29 will be reserved exclusively for sportspersons on the occasion of National Sports Day. Like last year, September 5 will be reserved for teachers on Teachers’ Day.

The Amrit Udyan will remain closed on all Mondays for maintenance. Entry for the public will be through Gate No. 35, near North Avenue Road. Booking of slots and entry to the garden is free. Booking can be done online on the Rashtrapati Bhavan website (https://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in/) as well as through self-service kiosks installed outside Gate No.
