Just two months after the engagement was fixed, the young man committed suicide by hanging himself after a quarrel with his fiancée over the phone. Preparations for the wedding were going on between both the families. After the incident, there was mourning in both the families.
The family has cremated the body without any police action. The question is what did the fiancée say on the phone that forced the young man to commit suicide. This incident is from a village in Hasanpur Kotwali area.
The farmer’s family lives here. His 20-year-old son used to drive an e-rickshaw. His marriage was fixed with a girl from a village in Gajraula police station area two months ago. Preparations for the marriage were going on from both sides.
There was an atmosphere of happiness. The wedding was scheduled to take place in winter, although no date had been set yet. The boy and the girl used to talk on the mobile daily. Family members say that on Sunday night the boy was talking to his fiancée on the mobile.
Meanwhile, the two had an argument over something. The matter escalated so much that the young man got angry and left the house. After this, he hanged himself by making a noose on the iron ladder of the overhead water tank located on the outskirts of the village.
On Monday morning, the villagers were shocked to see the body hanging. They somehow brought the body down and cremated it without any legal action. The young man was the third among five brothers.
The death of the young man has caused a wave of mourning in the families of both the girl’s side and the boy’s side. The preparations going on for the wedding have come to a halt. CO Deep Kumar Pant has denied knowledge of the incident.
