Her series Call Me Bay is about to release. Fans had high expectations from Ananya’s film Liger but it proved to be a huge flop. Now Ananya has broken her silence regarding this film.
Vijay Deverakonda was seen in the lead role with Ananya Pandey in Liger. Vijay made his Bollywood debut with this sports drama film and Ananya made her Tollywood debut. This film proved to be a huge flop. Made on a budget of 100 crores, this film collected 56.18 crores.
Ananya broke up over the script
In an exclusive conversation with Suchitra Tyagi, Anya talked about the script of Liger. She said- I had expressed concern about many lines. Whenever I read a script, red flags keep running in my mind, like, ‘No Gen-Z person speaks like this. This is not right. As a woman, it is my duty and responsibility to be that face and say that this is not right. If I say this, people will think that it is okay. Like, in Liger, there were a lot of things in that script where I was like, ‘Listen I am not okay to say this. As a woman, this is not right.’ They actually made those changes and I am really happy that I expressed my opinion at that time.
Let us tell you that Ananya Pandey’s Call Me Bae is going to be released on Amazon Prime Video on 6 September. In this series, Veer Das, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat and Gurfateh Pirzada will be seen playing important roles along with her.
