Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh has changed the state’s liquor policy. Now the policy will be implemented in the state from October 1. With the coming of this policy, the drinkers are going to be very happy. Under the new liquor policy, the government will provide you many brands of liquor at a price of ₹ 99 and even less. Along with this, the liquor shop will now be open for three hours longer. The state government expects a revenue of more than Rs 2000 crore from the new liquor policy. Under this, liquor shops will also be privatized.
How many bottles can you carry in UP?
After hearing about the new liquor policy of Andhra Pradesh, many people must have wondered whether they should go to Andhra Pradesh and bring back bottles of liquor. The idea is good but you will be able to do this only within a limit. If you think that you will bring back cartons full of liquor, then you will not be able to do so. Because some rules have been set for bringing and taking liquor.
Suppose you are bringing alcohol from Andhra Pradesh by train. Then you can bring only 2 liters of alcohol. If you bring more alcohol than this, you may have to pay a fine of up to ₹500. You can be sent to jail for 6 months. Also, your ticket for further journey can be cancelled. On the other hand, if you are bringing alcohol by car, then you can carry only 1 liter of alcohol. If you carry more than that, then you will have to pay a fine.
You can carry more alcohol on flight
But you are carrying alcohol by flight instead of train or car. So here you can carry more bottles. But for this some rules have been made which you will have to follow. According to flight rules, you can carry up to 5 liters of alcohol but the alcohol content in it should not be more than 70 percent.
