The actor was unemployed for a few months
He has struggled a lot in Mumbai. In an interview given to Times of India, he had said – ‘For the first four months in Mumbai, I was jobless, but with a good face. I used to get entry for the audition. I used to go for auditions. I was not a pro in acting, but now I have gained a lot of experience. I have done 14 shows, played more than 50 episodics, 25 ads, more than 7 short films and much more in this entire journey. All this made me who I am today. All shows are important in my life. This journey made me worthy of Anupama.
Apart from this, he told that in the first year he changed 9 different houses in Mumbai. The actor said, ‘In the first year in Mumbai, I changed 9 houses. I stayed in the first house for 6-7 months, then in 5 months I changed 8 houses. All this has taught me a lot.
locked myself in the room
The actor had also given auditions for Roadies. Ashish had told, ‘I started with Roadies. I gave auditions continuously for 3-4 years. But it did not happen in any of them. Then I lied at home and went to Chandigarh and gave the audition from there. This time I was selected. But I failed in the further process. I had locked myself in the room. Then I thought that I have come to become an actor, I should go back to Mumbai. Then I came back to Mumbai.
