Early Career of Anuradha Paudwal
Anuradha Podwal was born on 27 October 1954 in Karwar, Karnataka. According to media reports, Anuradha Podwal never took classical singing classes. She learned it by practicing on the songs of legendary singers like Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. In 1969, Anuradha married Arun Podwal, who was also associated with the film industry. Anuradha entered the field of singing at the behest of her husband.
Anuradha Podwal started her career with the 1973 film Abhimaan. Her first superhit song was ‘Tu Mera Dilbar Hai’ which she sang for the 1983 film Hero. After this, she sang back to back songs for many films and they were hits. Anuradha Podwal sang many superhit romantic songs in the 80’s and 90’s. But after a time, Anuradha stopped singing in films and the reason behind this was a conspiracy.

Anuradha Podwal sang blockbuster songs like ‘Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi’, ‘Dhak Dhak Karne Laga’, ‘Jaane Jigar Jaaneman’, ‘Mujhe Tumse Hain Itne Gile’. Anuradha Podwal sang for back to back films in the 80s and 90s and became the most popular singer of that era. Anuradha was climbing the ladder of success every day but even after she became famous, Arun Podwal continued working with SD Burman. Let us tell you, SG Burman was the father of RD Burman and father-in-law of Asha Bhosle. It is said that Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle started having some problems due to Anuradha Podwal’s success.
According to media reports, once Asha Bhosle went to her father-in-law’s studio for recording and got Arun Podwal, who was working there, thrown out of the office by abusing him. Anuradha Podwal felt very bad about this but she did not say anything in this matter. In the year 1991, Arun Podwal died in an accident and Anuradha Podwal was very broken by this. Still, she kept her professional and personal career separate and continued working.
Arun Podwal had left behind Anuradha and their three children, so Anuradha had to work. Later, some news came that Lata Mangeshkar had replaced the songs sung by Anuradha in films with her own voice. When Anuradha came to know about this, she decided that now she would sing songs only for T-Series. Gulshan Kumar supported her completely and during that time, the names of both of them started being linked.
After the murder of Gulshan Kumar in 1997, Anuradha Podwal was very disturbed and she decided not to sing in films. However, she sang some decent songs in films for some music directors. But she mostly sang bhajans which were in different languages. Now Anuradha Podwal has stopped singing to a great extent and sometimes appears as a guest in reality shows.
Anuradha Podwal was saddened by the death of her close ones
Anuradha Podwal is a very calm woman by nature, everyone knows this but she has lost many people in her life. Due to this, there were very few opportunities for happiness in her life. First of all, Anuradha Podwal saw the death of her 1 month old son, after that she was very saddened by the death of her husband. Anuradha Podwal considered Gulshan Kumar as her brother who also helped her in taking her career to heights, he was also murdered. After this, in the year 2020, Anuradha Podwal’s 35-year-old son also died due to kidney failure.
