Anurag Kashyap To Leave Bollywood: Film maker and director Anurag Kashyap seems quite angry with Bollywood. He is so irritated with the Hindi film industry that he has even decided to leave the glam city Mumbai. Not only this, Anurag Kashyap has expressed his anger by accusing Bollywood of not trying to do anything new.
In a recent interview given to The Hollywood Reporter, Anurag Kashyap said that he is very disappointed with the mentality of Bollywood. He said- ‘Now it has become difficult for me to go out and experiment because it has to be paid, from the beginning my makers think about profit and margin. Before the film starts, it becomes a matter of how to sell it.
‘I am disgusted by this mentality’
Anurag Kashyap further talked about being disappointed with Bollywood and also revealed the reason for it. He said- ‘The joy of film making is over. That’s why I want to move out of Mumbai next year. I am going south. I want to go where there is excitement. Otherwise I will grow old and die. I am very disappointed and frustrated with my own industry. I am disgusted by this mentality. The mentality is to recreate what has already worked. They won’t try anything new.
‘No one wants to act’
Anurag Kashyap also criticized the influence of talent agencies. He said- ‘It is very painful to deal with first generation actors and really entitled people. Nobody wants to act, they all want to be a star.
