Apple’s new AI-powered notification summary feature is continuously creating problems for the company. This feature introduced in iOS 18.1 gives the summary of notifications. Right now it is in the trial phase and has given wrong information many times. The company says that it is still in beta so it can make mistakes. The company has asked users to report mistakes. Now in a latest glitch it has given wrong information about tennis player Rafael Nadal.
Called Nadal gay
According to media reports, this feature of Apple claimed about tennis star Rafael Nadal that he has admitted to being gay, whereas in reality nothing like this was said by Nadal. In another such glitch, it was told in a summary that darts player Luke Littler has won the PDC World Championship title. In fact, Littler did not come to play in the final match.
This concern came to light
These glitches show that relying on AI for real-time news is not without danger. This challenge increases further when it comes to breaking news. Even though AI can summarize information in a pinch, the possibility of error or error in it increases greatly.
Apple may stop this feature
Apple has not yet rolled out this feature for all its users. It has made many mistakes during the trial itself. In such a situation, it is feared that the company may disable it by default for news apps. That is, to get the summary of news notifications, the user will have to enable this feature by going to the settings himself.
