At the time of marriage, the groom pays dowry to the bride. In which money, jewelery or any property has to be given. There are two types of dowry, one of which is given at the time of marriage. Will get living allowance but no property
Let us tell you that according to the decision of the Supreme Court, Muslim women are also entitled to get maintenance allowance from their husbands in India. Under Section 125 of CrPC, the Magistrate can fix maintenance allowance for the wife, her children and her parents. Accordingly, AR Rahman’s wife Saira Banu will be given maintenance allowance. But there is no such rule regarding claim on property. Dowry amount will be paid to Saira Banu on behalf of AR Rahman. Alimony will also be given.
