Actually, Changa and Manga were two notorious dacoits of Pakistan. In the 20th century, they ruled the areas around Punjab. Forest named after Changa-Manga
There is a man-made forest at a distance of about 70 kilometers from Lahore. That is, a forest planted by humans. Today the whole world knows this forest as ‘Changa-Manga’ forest. This forest was planted during the British period for the production of wood. B. Ribbentrop started plantation work in this area in 1871-72, which later turned into a large forest. Till 1990, this used to be a very large forest, but today most of the trees here have been cut down and wild animals have also started leaving this man-made forest.
