Board Exam 2024: Board exams for 10th-12th are about to start. Many board examinations including CBSE are starting from 15th February. Because of this, children are busy studying day and night. There are many parents who have stopped their children’s outdoor activities in view of the exams, so that their focus remains on studies. Parents are right to be concerned, but sitting and studying for many hours is affecting the physical fitness of children. According to health experts, children are facing many problems due to sitting and studying all day long. In such a situation, parents should make time management of children in such a way that they can relax along with studies and also participate in outdoor activities.

Problem of neck, waist and headache due to continuous reading

Many students have started having pain in head, waist and neck due to continuous studying. Sometimes it becomes unbearable. According to experts, sitting and reading continuously for 4-5 hours has a negative effect on the eyes, neck and muscles. Many children start having pain due to leg cramps. Sitting for long periods of time is also causing obesity in children. Such complaints are seen every year.

It is dangerous to read while sitting on the bed.

According to neurologists, most of the children preparing for board exams face problems like headache, neck pain, muscle pain, leg, back and waist pain. Such a complaint can occur due to reading while sitting on the bed, because it puts more pressure on the neck.

bad effect on performance

Sitting and studying continuously not only causes physical problems but also affects the performance. According to experts, some children keep studying the whole day, yet their marks are not good. The reason for this is their inability to focus properly. If one subject is studied carefully for even two hours in a day, it can be very effective. Therefore, instead of reading the whole day, one should read carefully.

What do experts say

Experts say that if a student studies for more than 8-10 hours a day, he will not be able to get any benefit because the brain has limited capacity. If someone studies for 12-15 hours, he will not be able to remember anything old. Just studying all day does not result in good productivity. Reading 8 hours a day is enough.
