Leftover Roti Recipe: Grandmother always used to say, ‘Rotis should never be made by counting, the blessings in the house are less…’ We all follow this advice of our grandmothers. In ancient times, sweets were often made from these leftover rotis. That is, the rotis were broken into fine pieces or mashed and sweetened by adding ghee or sugar to them. In this way also you can eat instant churma made from these rotis. But you cannot eat sweets every time for breakfast. Therefore, we are telling you such a spicy dish of these rotis which will take you only 90 seconds to make. This dish is masala roti.
This dish is called masala roti or kave.
Masala Roti Recipe
Material
2 or 4 rotis
one spoon mustard
1 teaspoon cumin
1 finely chopped green chilli
4-5 curry leaves
1 large chopped onion
half teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon chilli
salt as per taste
finely chopped coriander
1 lemon
Recipe
- First of all, break the remaining rotis into small pieces. These pieces should not be too fine nor too big.
- After this, put the pan on gas. Add some oil and when the oil is hot, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves.
- Now add chopped onion to it and fry it until it turns light brown.
- Now add bread pieces in it. Add turmeric, chilli and salt in it.
- Mix it well by moving it up and down.
- Cook the rotis for some time. If you like to eat it a little crispy, then let the rotis become crisp on low flame.
- Remove from flame and add coriander and lemon juice. Enjoy this dish of instant rotis.
