-To make arhar dal, first of all wash the arhar dal thoroughly. After washing, keep it soaked in water for at least half an hour or 2 hours. By doing this it becomes easier to digest the pulses.
-Now add one cup of dal in the pressure cooker and add 3 cups of water along with it. After this, add one spoon turmeric and one spoon salt in it.

-Now keep the pressure cooker on medium flame till 3 to 4 whistles. If you keep the flame very low then the whistle will not be made and if the flame is high then the dal will not cook properly. After the whistle, turn it off and wait for the steam to come out.
-Now churn it well with the help of a churner. To fry it, place a big ladle or pan on the gas and put two spoons of ghee in it. Before it gets heated, add a pinch of asafoetida, cumin and red chilli and sprinkle it. Tasty and healthy arhar dal is ready.
