Political turmoil has intensified over the arrest of MLA Amanatullah Khan. Aam Aadmi Party and BJP are accusing each other on this issue. BJP has said that during his tenure as the chairman of Delhi Waqf Board, Amanatullah misused the money by making illegal recruitments.
State BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that the rule of law prevails in the country. If anyone commits corruption, he will have to answer. Investigation agencies are doing their work. Sachdeva has asked that if the investigation agency is doing its work, then why are the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party so nervous. There is a long group of criminals and corrupt people inside the Aam Aadmi Party and when action is taken against them, they start getting nervous and create a ruckus.
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj said that there is a serious crime against Amanatullah Khan. When he was the chairman of the Waqf Board, he took money from people illegally in the name of giving them jobs. ED is investigating him. It is AAP’s old habit to do publicity, propaganda and corruption. Through this they fill their pockets. No matter how powerful a person is, he is not outside the scope of law. It is their responsibility to cooperate in the investigation. BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia has said that all the MLAs including Aam Aadmi Party Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal are corrupt. When they come under the scope of investigation, they start making noise. The investigating agency is doing its work. Many cases of Waqf Board are registered against Amanatullah Khan.
Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Vijender Gupta said that Amanatullah Khan has committed corruption in the salary money of Rs 19 crore of the Imams. He got the MCD school of Fatehpuri Waqf Board vacated and built illegal shops in it and sold them for crores of rupees. Aam Aadmi Party is calling such corrupt and anti-social elements patriots.
