Asaduddin Owasi on Tajmahal: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has targeted the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) over the maintenance of the Taj Mahal. He said in a tweet that the ASI earns hundreds of crores of rupees from the Taj Mahal, but its behavior towards one of the biggest symbols of Indian culture is disappointing.
Actually, the main dome of the historic Taj Mahal has been damaged due to the continuous rain in Agra. The garden of the Taj Mahal has also been flooded due to the rain. An investigation is underway to find out from which direction this water is coming.
‘Failing class 10 exams and applying for PhD’
Owaisi took a dig at the ASI in his tweet and wrote, “The funny thing is that the same ASI argues to take over the properties of the Waqf Board so that they can be properly maintained. This is like failing in the 10th class examination and applying for a PhD!” Owaisi’s statement has come at a time when questions are being raised on the functioning of the ASI regarding the maintenance of the Taj Mahal. Concerns have been raised many times about the condition of the Taj Mahal, and Owaisi’s statement is once again refreshing those questions.
ASI takes control of Wakf Board properties
Owaisi has also criticized the demand of ASI to take control of the properties of Waqf Board. He questioned the capability of ASI and said that an organization which is not able to take proper care of historical heritage like Taj Mahal has no right to take control of Waqf properties.
