The relations between Kashi, Kanchi and Ayodhya, included in the Saptapuris, will become even stronger. Ayodhya will write a new chapter in the union of North-South India through the threads of religion, spirituality and education. Shankaracharya Shankar Vijayendra Saraswati of Kanchi Kamakoti Peeth has initiated this. With the installation of Ramlala, educational, religious and spiritual activities will also intensify in Kashi, Kanchi and Ayodhya.
On the initiative of Shankaracharya Shankar Vijayendra Saraswati of Kanchi, the Ashram of Kanchi Kamakoti Peeth will be constructed in Ayodhya on the lines of Kashi and Kanchi. All arrangements will be made here for the devotees coming from South India. The scope of Kanchi Shankar Ved Vidyalaya operating in Ayodhya will also be expanded. Presently 60 students including 21 residential students are studying in Veda Vidyalaya. Along with South India, Batuks studying in Kashi will also be able to study in this Veda Vidyalaya. Employment oriented education will also be provided in the expanding Veda Vidyalaya. Shankaracharya Shankar Vijayendra Saraswati says that the relationship between Ayodhya and Kanchi has been going on since Tretayuga. Its description is found in Lalitopakhyan. Maharaj Dasharatha had prayed in the court of Mother Kamakshi with the desire of having a son.
V S Subramaniam Mani, manager of Kanchi Kamakoti Math located at Hanuman Ghat, said that after the enthronement of Ramlala, the process of expansion of Kanchi Kamakoti Math will start. On the lines of Kashi, the monastery will be expanded and constructed in Ayodhya also. According to Shankaracharya’s intention, devotees from South India will reach Ayodhya for the darshan of Ramlala. Preparations are being made for this also.
21 Vedics will go from Kanchi and Kashi
21 Vedic Brahmins of Krishna Yajurveda branch will go to Ayodhya to attend the consecration ceremony of Ramlala. Out of these, 17 Vedic Brahmins will join from Kanchi and four from Kashi.
