The voter list was revised 15 days before the municipal elections. Names may decrease or increase. How paperless was this process that the relatives of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who died eight years ago. He is still alive in the voter list of the body. The names of three more dead people of his family are also included in the voter list. Slips were also made available at home for voting. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s sister Kamla Dixit and brother-in-law Nand Gopal died in the year 2015, while his nephew Ajay Dixit died in the year 2005, in which Atal Bihari Vajpayee was also involved.
While the other nephew Anil Dixit died in January 2021 and his wife Lakshmi Dixit died in the year 2008. The names of all these are in the voter list of the municipal elections. The voting slip was also made available by the BLO at his address, Alkapuri (House No. 42-A), Pratap Nagar, Ward-54, Jaipur House.
Nirmala Dixit, former Prime Minister’s niece’s daughter-in-law (wife of Ajay Dixit) and outgoing member of the State Women’s Commission, who voted from the sales tax office, told that during the Lok Sabha and Vidhansabha elections, her name was deleted from the voter list. Even after this, the name has come in the list of the municipal body. The voting slip also reached home. This is negligence.
