The criminal record of Kasganj’s Arun Maurya, who was involved in the murder of notorious criminals Atiq-Ashraf of Eastern UP, has been investigated by the Aligarh Range Police. It has been revealed so far that Arun, originally from Kasganj, was born in Panipat, Haryana, and there he has come into crime and two cases of Arms Act and assault are registered against him.

As per details gathered by the range police, Arun is a native of village Kadarwadi in Soron area of Kasganj and lived in Vikas Nagar, Panipat. Arun was born there. Last days his father had come to his ancestral house in Kasganj. But Arun did not come.

According to the police investigation, he was first caught in February 2022 along with weapons on the charges of illegal arms supply from the liquor contract of Panipat. Meanwhile, befriended many criminals in the jail.

Six months ago, he went to jail in the Panipat assault case. After being released from there, came to the ancestral village with his uncle and aunt. Then went back to Panipat.
