Atrocities Against Men: Bengaluru engineer Atul Subhash committed suicide after being fed up with the harassment from his wife and in-laws. Before committing suicide, Atul Subhash made a video of about one and a half hour and posted it. So apart from this he left behind a 24-page suicide note. There is now a demand on social media to provide justice to Atul Subhash. Atul Subhash’s suicide has exposed the double attitude of law and order and society towards men.
Many false cases were filed against Atul Subhash by his wife. And forced them to such an extent that they took such a dangerous step. After this case, voices have been raised on social media regarding atrocities against men. This is not the first case in India, even before this many men have committed suicide after being tortured in a similar manner. India is at first place in the list
Article 14 of the Indian Constitution gives equal rights to all. But in many cases this does not happen in India. For example, if we talk about law and order, the police and judiciary give more importance to women than men. And there is many evidences of this. If we talk about the latest example, Bengaluru engineer Atul Subhash has become the biggest topic of discussion in the country at present. Women are also expressing their condolences towards him.

But when the matter has reached such a stage, it reveals the insensitive attitude of the law system, judiciary and social system towards men. According to research by the National Library of Medicine, 52.4% of men in India have been victims of domestic violence at some point in their lives. Of these, approximately 49% men have become victims of mental harassment. Whereas 6% have become victims of physical violence.

The figures of western countries are also surprising
According to the report of Britain’s Office for National Statistics, one out of every three victims of domestic violence in England is a man. In total cases of domestic abuse, 25% men are found victims. Not only this, this issue is no less in America, the world’s super power. 44% of men in America have been victims of domestic violence at some point in their lives.
Even in Finland, which is considered to be the happiest country in the world, cases of atrocities against men have been seen. In Finland, 31% of the total cases of domestic violence have been found to be male victims. There were 778 cases reported in Bhutan in the year 2023. Out of which 69 were mail victims.
