Bhopal. An attempt to commit a bank robbery in Bhopal’s Piplani police station area failed on Friday. The young man entered the bank with chilli powder. Due to the alertness of the employees and customers, the young man failed in his attempt, after which he left the bike and ran away.
Talking to Local 18, police station in-charge Anurag Lal said that the incident took place in a private bank of Piplani police station area. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot, identified the youth on the basis of the bike number and arrested him late in the night.
Was stealing to compensate for the money lost in the game
During preliminary interrogation, the police found out that the youth had lost lakhs of rupees in online gaming. To compensate for the lost money, he had gone to rob the bank. According to the information, on Friday afternoon a young man reached inside the private bank located in Piplani. With chilli powder and spray in his hands, he started threatening the bank employees in filmy style. Seeing his actions, the bank employees became suspicious and understood that he wanted to commit robbery. When the employees surrounded him, he ran outside. As soon as he came out of the bank, he left his bike and ran away from the spot. As soon as information about the incident was received, Piplani police reached the spot.
The young man told the police this
The youth told the police that he wanted to rob a bank to compensate for the money he lost in an online game, but could not succeed. For this, he also learned the method of committing the crime from the internet, for which he was learning the methods of robbing a bank on the internet about 15 days ago. During this time he came to know that this type of incident can be carried out by adding chilli powder and spray.
Police is checking criminal records
The police is busy investigating the criminal record of the youth. Besides, efforts are also being made to find out whether he had any other accomplice in this incident or not. This entire matter will be revealed soon.
