WHO has recently made a shocking revelation in a report. It has been told that every day more than 10 thousand people are losing their lives due to heart attack in Europe. This means that 4 million deaths a year are occurring only due to heart attack, the biggest reason for which is eating too much salt. WHO says that eating too much salt increases problems like BP, hypertension, which causes heart attack.

Too much salt causing death
WHO said in its report that most people in Europe eat too much salt. Here, more than one in 30 to 79 year old people have the problem of high blood pressure, which leads to heart attack. There is a risk of stroke due to this. The risk of heart related diseases increases. WHO has appealed to Europe to eat less salt in a new report.

Why is too much salt dangerous?
The World Health Organization has advised to eat a maximum of 5 grams of salt every day to stay healthy, that is, about 1 teaspoon of salt can be eaten in a day, but in all the countries of Europe, people are eating much more salt than this standard. Due to which they are at high risk of high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke and other heart related diseases.

How to reduce the risk of heart attack
For Europe, WHO has said that if salt intake is reduced, this risk can be reduced to a great extent. Nowadays salt is being used the most in street food and processed food. One should avoid eating these. The organization says that if the amount of salt in food is reduced by just 25%, then the lives of at least 9 lakh people can be saved by 2030.
