In the last eight months of testing, 53 percent of the samples failed as per the prescribed standards. Apart from this, about 30 percent out of 153 samples were kept in unsafe category. You will be surprised to know that cheese is being adulterated the most in the market. Most of the cheese samples have failed in this test.
Large scale adulteration of sweets and ghee in shops
Apart from this, sweets and ghee are being adulterated on a large scale in shops. However, people living in Noida and surrounding areas need to be careful and alert. Let us tell you that the department inspected different food shops and stores between April 1 and November 30. During this period, the department conducted a total of 1608 inspections and 395 samples were taken. So far, test reports of 289 samples have come. In which 94 samples failed. Most of these include 16 samples of cheese and 15 samples of spices. Apart from this, 44 samples were declared unsafe.
