An old man died in a road accident in Auraiya district of UP. While a retired army man riding a scooter was injured.

In Auraiya district, in Bhaupur village of Sadar Kotwali area, late in the evening, an old man walking from his house to his field was hit by a retired soldier riding a high speed scooter. Due to which the old man got badly injured. The soldier also got injured in the incident. On getting the information, the police reached the spot and took both of them to the 50 bedded district hospital. Where the doctor declared the old man dead. While the injured former soldier is being treated. The police has sent the body for post mortem.
Seva Ram (80), a resident of Bhaupur village in the Kotwali area, was walking on the road to his farm in the village on Thursday evening. While crossing the road, in front of Padri Baba Than and Koyla Bhatti, an ex-soldier coming from Sikandra, Kanpur Dehat towards Auraiya on a scooter hit him. Due to the collision, the old man fell on the road and was seriously injured. In the collision, the ex-soldier also fell on the road along with his scooter. On receiving the information, the old man’s sons Surendra Kumar and Krishna Murari reached the spot. The police also reached the spot.
Both the injured were taken to the 50-bed district hospital. The doctor declared the old man dead in the hospital. While the injured ex-soldier is being treated. Sadar Kotwali in-charge Bhupendra Singh Rathi said that the old man died in the accident in Bhaupur. No complaint has been received in this case yet. The police have sent the body for post-mortem. A report will be filed after receiving the complaint.
