Australia ODI Squad Against India: Before the ODI World Cup 2023, a 3-match ODI series will be played between India and Australia from September 22. Cricket Australia has announced the Kangaroo team for this series. It has seen the return of captain Pat Cummins along with Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc and Glenn Maxwell. Before the World Cup, the Australian team will enter this series with the intention of testing its preparations for the mega event.
Australian captain Pat Cummins could not take part in the ODI series in South Africa after he got injured in the last Test match of Ashes 2023. Apart from this, Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell also could not be a part of this series due to injuries. Now all these three players are making a comeback fully fit.
Keeping in mind the Indian pitches, Australia has also included two specialist spin bowlers in its team, one of which is Adam Zampa and the other is Tanveer Sangha. Apart from this, Glenn Maxwell will also be there as an option for the team’s third spin bowler.
Spencer and Labuschagne also got place
Marnus Labuschagne, who performed brilliantly with the bat in the ODI series against South Africa, has been included in the team for the series against India. Apart from Mitchell Starc, captain Pat Cummins, Sean Abbott, Josh Hazlewood and Spencer Johnson have also been given place in fast bowling.
The first ODI of the series between both the teams will be played on September 22 at Mohali ground. After this, the second and third ODI matches will be played on the grounds of Indore and Rajkot on 24th and 27th September.
