Trains will no longer be delayed waiting for signals. Trains will run fast with the automatic block signaling system, so that passengers will be able to reach the destination in less time. This is a thousand crore project. In the first phase, these signals will be installed between Lucknow and Chhapra. For this, Rs 80 crore has been received as token money. Tenders have also been done, work will be started soon.

The work of upgrading the signaling system on the track has been started by the North Eastern Railway Administration. The project got approval from the board. Under this, automatic block signals will be installed at every one kilometer on Chhapra railway track via Lucknow to Barabanki. Along with this, these signals will also be installed between Sitapur to Budhwal. These signals will be installed on the entire section by the year 2025, such preparations are in place. Railway officials say that in the signaling system that has been installed so far, there is a difference of eight to ten kilometers between two trains. The first train will reach the station, then signals are given to the trains coming from behind. But, now it will not happen.

Signals will be installed every kilometer

At present, the absolute block signal system is running on the railway sections, under which the green signal is given to the train coming from behind only after the train reaches the next station in a block section. Because of this, trains coming from behind are the victims of delay. But, now it will not happen. In Automatic Block Signaling System (Automatic Block Signaling System), signals are placed at a distance of every one kilometer between two stations (block section). Due to this, as the signal keeps getting green, the train coming from behind moves forward. The train coming from behind does not have to wait for the train in front to reach the station.

Target to complete work by 2025

Pankaj Kumar Singh, CPRO of North Eastern Railway says that preparations are on to install automatic block signaling system for smooth operation of trains. Under this, signals will be installed at every kilometer and trains can be run smoothly. The target is to put this signaling system on track by the year 2025.
