Assembly by-elections are to be held for ten seats in Uttar Pradesh. The dates have not been announced yet, but political parties have started preparations to contest these seats. All parties are busy preparing for the by-elections.
Meanwhile, for the assembly by-election, the Samajwadi Party has given the command of Ayodhya’s Milkipur seat to MP Awadhesh Prasad. CM Yogi Adityanath himself has taken the responsibility here from the BJP.
SP’s Avdhesh Prasad, while being an MLA from this seat, became MP by defeating BJP MP Lallu Singh in the last Lok Sabha elections. Along with Avdhesh, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Lal Bihari Yadav has been appointed in-charge of Milkipur.
Apart from this, SP has also fielded bigwigs for preparations of by-elections on five other seats. SP President Akhilesh Yadav had bet on Awadhesh Prasad of Dalit caste from Faizabad parliamentary constituency in the Lok Sabha elections and his strategy was successful.
