For such people, the Government of India had started the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana, also known as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, in the year 2018. Under the scheme, the Government of India provides free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. The government issues Ayushman card for this. Application can be made by going to Panchayat Bhawan
The government has greatly simplified the process for making Ayushman card. If you are eligible in the scheme. And you have some important documents. So you can go to your nearest Common Service Center and apply for making Ayushman Card. But there are no common service centers in rural areas. In such a situation, if you also live in such rural areas. Then you can go to Panchayat Bhawan to get Ayushman card made.

You have to meet the concerned officials present there and show your ration card, Aadhar card and some identity cards. You will be asked for some information, you have to give that also. After this the officials complete the process of making your Ayushman card.

Check eligibility first
The Government of India has fixed some criteria for making Ayushman Card. That means the government does not issue Ayushman card to all the people. If you want to know whether your Ayushman card can be made or not. So for this you can check your eligibility by visiting the official website of Ayushman Bharat Yojana https://pmjay.gov.in and clicking on “Am I Eligible” option. If you are eligible then your Ayushman card will be made, otherwise not.
